Meet the Editor

Victoria Chen is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies at Victoria University of Wellington. With a passion for comparative syntax and historical linguistics, Victoria’s research centres around two areas: the morphosyntactic typology of Austronesian languages and the  evolutionary pathway of the Austronesian language family. She actively advocates for the preservation and celebration of linguistic diversity, particularly for underdescribed languages. In line with this interest, Te Reo warmly encourages submissions pertaining to the description and analysis of understudied languages. Victoria and the editorial team also enthusiastically welcome submissions from students and junior researchers.
