History of the Linguistic Society of New Zealand
The Linguistic Society of New Zealand was founded in Auckland in 1958, in order to “promote and pursue the scientific description and study of the evolution and structure of languages”.
The year of 2018 marks 60 years since the inception of the NZ Linguistic Society. To mark this auspicious occasion, Te Reo has put together a special Anniversary Issue (Vol 61, Issue 2), edited by Emeritus Prof. Laurie Bauer, from the University of Victoria.
